Description

Responsibilities:
 

  • Process payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees.
    • Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
    • Verify attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments, and post information.
    • Compute wages
    • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data reports.
    • Address discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Oversees the distribution of data to payroll provider and distribution of reports.
  • Communicate with department managers on payroll related matters and initiatives.
    • Provide assistance to Plant Managers in compiling and submitting payroll information and act as a liaison regarding payroll related issues.
  • Create payroll data reports for management.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule, especially on the days payroll is being processed (typically Monday and Tuesday).

Qualifications:
 

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent. 

 

  • Work Experience:
    • Two years or more years of prior payroll experience.

 

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Proficient computer skills – must be an intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and make deadlines.
    • Demonstrates good judgment and has solid problem solving skills.
    • General knowledge of the principles and practices of payroll administration.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and employees.
    • Ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
    • Approachable and professional.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
    • Self-motivated and well organized.
