Description
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for all exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Verify attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments, and post information.
- Compute wages
- Compile employee time, production, and payroll data reports.
- Address discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Oversees the distribution of data to payroll provider and distribution of reports.
- Communicate with department managers on payroll related matters and initiatives.
- Provide assistance to Plant Managers in compiling and submitting payroll information and act as a liaison regarding payroll related issues.
- Create payroll data reports for management.
- Assist in special projects.
- Must be flexible with work schedule, especially on the days payroll is being processed (typically Monday and Tuesday).
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work Experience:
- Two years or more years of prior payroll experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient computer skills – must be an intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and make deadlines.
- Demonstrates good judgment and has solid problem solving skills.
- General knowledge of the principles and practices of payroll administration.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with peers, managers, and employees.
- Ability to present information and make recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
- Approachable and professional.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated and well organized.
