Heartland RVs is now hiring in our purchasing department. We are looking for experienced, reliable and team oriented individuals to join our expanding team!! Below is the the job requirements and description.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

To ensure all materials needed throughout the manufacturing process are in station and on time to support production. This includes taking ownership of the materials from time of delivery to installation on the RV. Conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.

DAILY / WEEKLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Placing purchase orders off of a run schedule and from daily cycle counts. Calling on backorders, confirming all purchase orders placed and processing damaged material reports (DMR’s). Walking the shop floor to check dumpsters, inventory levels and obsolescence.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organizational, multitasking and communication skills are required. Being able to communicate professionally with all levels of management and shop floor personnel. Superior work ethic and attendance is required.

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE :

Microsoft Dynamics AX knowledge is a plus

Prior negotiation / purchasing (procurement) experience is a plus
